Gorst Gridlock:  Is the end in sight?

Hear from Congressman Derek Kilmer and other local leaders as they fill us in on the current work being done by the Gorst Coalition.

Over a year ago, a group of diverse community partners from Kitsap and Mason Counties including the U.S. Navy and local Chambers of Commerce came together to formulate the Gorst Coalition, with the goal to bring Federal and State resources to address the longstanding needs of the Gorst Corridor.

The Members of the Gorst Coalition recognized the urgent needs to relieve severe traffic congestion, make needed safety improvements, provide resiliency from sea level rise and seismic events, support vital National Security objectives and reduce our impacts on the Gorst Corridor ecosystem. The Coalition builds on previous community efforts to come together to address this generational transportation project. Working in partnership with Federal, State, local and Tribal governments along with community organizations, labor unions and businesses, we are seeking $457 million from the State Legislature to fund this project.

Bremerton Chamber of Commerce. We've Been Springing Forward!

We’ve Been Springing Forward!

As I look back on the past six months I’m struck with how much we’ve been able to accomplish in such a short time. While some of our efforts are still in process, we’re already beginning to see impact.

Our Membership and Marketing Committees are in full swing and a new Member Ambassador Program will be launched soon. Our website is in the process of being redesigned and a new Chamber rack card has taken the place of an outdated booklet and is now being used for membership promotion.
