Name: Eat Your Way Through Kitsap History
    Date: September 7, 2019
    Time: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM PDT
    Event Description:
Sail away with us on a September afternoon as we board the Carlisle II at the Bremerton dock and cruise into Dyes Inlet to hear its stories. We’ll motor along this shoreline to learn about its Native American settlements, entrepreneurial Scandinavian settlers, logging, agriculture, and Mosquito fleet docks that became bustling centers of commercial activity. Even the inlet’s name has fun history—Charles Wilkes named it after the assistant taxidermist on his 1841 US Exploring Expedition. We’ll enjoy a light buffet supper and wine as the late afternoon light settles in.
