Name: Eat Your Way Through Kitsap History
    Date: August 15, 2019
    Time: 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM PDT
    Event Description:
We’ll travel south on Bainbridge Island to charming Lynwood Center with its Tudor-style buildings and its 1936 theater, the oldest Kitsap theater still in operation. Born and raised in Lynwood, Karen Beierle will share the history of this village, formerly known as Pleasant Beach and once bustling with a lumber yard, greenhouses, a market, shops, and the theater, as well as resorts and hotels. Karen is active with the Bainbridge Island Historical Society, having served as board president. We’ll be treated to a lovely lunch on the patio of the Pleasant Beach Manor House, built on the 1898 Olson homestead and now a premier dining and event venue on the island.
