Bremerton Symphony opens their 76th season, sponsored by Kitsap Bank, with a powerhouse program of classical favorites by Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms, led by Music Director Alan Futterman. On Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 7:30PM at Bremerton Performing Arts Center, experience this unforgettable evening including the most beloved masterworks of all time, and young award-winning piano soloist Adrian King. Single tickets ranging from $10-$28 and season subscription packages including your choice of five through twelve concerts are now available online, including the opportunity to choose your seats, at bremertonsymphony.org. Adrian King, age 16, hails from Silverdale, Washington. He is a student of Dr. Peter Mack, instructor at Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle. Adrian was a prize winner at numerous competitions in both piano solo, concerto, and duet categories. Adrian was a finalist in the 2017 Seattle International Piano Competition. Adrian received first place in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 Washington Music Teacher National Association (MTNA), Junior Piano Division. Adrian and his sister, Mya, received second place in the 2016-17 National MTNA Competition in Baltimore, Senior Duet Division. Adrian won the concerto competition at the 2017 Northern Lights Music Festival in Minnesota and performed the first movement of Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto with the NLMF orchestra under conductor, Gavriel Heine. Adrian received first place in the 2016 Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition in the Intermediate Piano Concerto Division and the Grand Prize in the Piano Duet Division with his sister, Mya. Adrian also received first place at the 2016 Ohio International Piano Duet Competition (again, with sister, Mya), which was adjudicated by the celebrated duo, Greg Anderson and Elizabeth Roe. Adrian appeared twice on Classical KING FM’s program, Northwest Focus. Adrian was a top prize winner of Bremerton Symphony’s 2016 and 2018 Young Artist Competitions.
